Doug was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa and moved to Arizona in 1980. He is a partner of Santerre & Vande Krol, Ltd., which was founded in 1982 and located in Scottsdale. For over 25 years, his practice has focused on sophisticated estate planning, probate and estate representation, limited liability company law, partnership law and real estate.

Doug is an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell with the highest ratings for legal ability and ethical standards, and has been certified as a tax specialist by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization since 1996. He has also been named by Southwest Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Arizona since 2008. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.
